About OneAnime

OneAnime wants every attendee to have a good time. We strive to keep the convention family friendly during daytime hours (10 AM - 7:30 PM Saturday, 11 AM - 9 PM Sunday) so that fans of all ages can enjoy themselves. After Hours programming (7:30 PM - 10 PM Saturday) is designed for young adults and adults. Anyone found violating these rules may be expelled from the convention without refund, suspended from future events, or subject to legal action.

BADGE POLICY

Please keep your badge visible and be prepared to show it for access to convention space and events. It identifies you as a paid attendee of OneAnime. Keep track of your badge. If you lose your badge, you may purchase a new one at a discounted rate. Violation of any rules and regulations set forth by OneAnime could result in the loss of your badge and expulsion from the convention without refund.

Any attempts to defraud OneAnime registration or attendance policies either before, during, or after the convention will be pursued to the fullest extent.

SERVICE ANIMAL POLICY

The University of Utah campus prohibits all animals on its grounds. This includes therapy or anxiety pets. Only service animals, as defined by the ADA and trained to provide assistance to an individual with a disability, are welcome at OneAnime. The handler is responsible for the care and supervision of their service animal. If the animal is found to be disruptive or behaving in an unacceptable way, OneAnime reserves the right to ask that the animal be removed. Under ADA guidelines, all service animals must be harnessed, leashed, or tethered at all times unless this affects their ability to perform their task. Do not pet a service animal.

DON'T DO ANYTHING STUPID

No running, climbing, or other horseplay that might result in harm to yourself, others, or property is allowed. Please be careful and do not engage in any activity that might cause injury.

WHEELED TRANSPORTATION POLICY

No roller skates, bicycles, roller blades, skateboards, scooters, Segways, hoverboards, or wheeled shoes (e.g., Heelys) are allowed inside the convention center. You may carry these items as props, but you may not ride them.

NO OUTSIDE FOOD OR DRINKS

No outside food or beverages of any kind may be brought into the University of Utah Union Building by any guests, invitees, or attendees. Food or beverage purchased through the venue's food service is not allowed to be taken off the property. The only exception is for vendors in the Dealer's Room selling specialty imported, prepackaged drinks and snacks.

ALCOHOL AND DRUGS POLICY

No alcohol is permitted to enter the convention center. Any disruptions or impaired behavior due to intoxication will not be tolerated. OneAnime has a ZERO tolerance policy on illegal substances. Violations will result in loss of badge, expulsion, and possible legal action.

HARASSMENT AND ASSAULT

Harassment - including unwanted physical contact, following someone in a public area, verbal assaults, unwanted sexual behavior, or threatening physical violence - will not be tolerated. Offenders may lose their badge, be expelled from the convention, and be reported to law enforcement.

STAFF AND GUEST RESPECT

Listen to and respect the staff, volunteers, and guests of OneAnime. If a staff member instructs you to do or not do something, please comply. Disrespect or disregard may result in badge removal and expulsion.

All costumes must be family friendly and meet the dress code. Unsealed makeup, ill‑fitting or damaged clothing, or costumes that expose excessive skin are not permitted.

Props - including weapons - must be safe and are subject to security checks. No real guns are allowed; any prop weapon must be clearly a replica.

Photography and video are allowed in common areas except where restricted (such as in Artist Alley or during certain panels). Always ask permission before photographing or recording individuals.

Merchandise may only be sold in designated areas (Dealer's Room, Artist's Alley, and the Art Show). Anyone receiving payment in the convention space must comply with all OneAnime rules regarding sales. Each area has its own rules and contracts that must be signed. Nothing may be sold outside the designated areas.

Any solicitation that does not comply with these restrictions may result in the loss of your badge, the return of all payments, and expulsion from the convention.

No signs are allowed unless pre‑approved. This includes, but is not limited to, "hentai", "yaoi", "yuri" paddles, picket signs, and banners. Signs offering favors for sale (such as kisses, hugs, dates, gropes, spankings, etc.) are strictly prohibited.

GENERATIVE AI PROHIBITION

OneAnime Convention prohibits the sale, display, or distribution of artwork created using generative artificial intelligence (AI) technologies in all vendor areas, including the Artist Alley, Vendor Hall, and Dealer's Room.

WHAT IS PROHIBITED

This includes but is not limited to artwork generated by tools such as DALL-E, Midjourney, Stable Diffusion, or any other AI system that creates images or other visual artwork. We're talking about AI that creates the actual artwork itself.

ENFORCEMENT

Vendors and artists found selling or displaying AI-generated content will be asked to remove the items immediately. Repeated violations may result in removal from the convention without refund. All vendors and artists must acknowledge that they have not used generative AI technologies in the creation of their artwork.

WHY THIS POLICY EXISTS

We support authentic human creativity and the traditional art community. This policy ensures that all artwork sold at OneAnime represents genuine artistic skill and effort from our talented community of creators.

WEAPONS AND DANGEROUS ITEMS

No firearms, real weapons, or dangerous items are permitted. Prop weapons and cosplay weapons must be peace bonded by our security team. Blades that can be wielded must be zip-tied to their sheaths or otherwise secured. Bows with real arrows are prohibited - only prop bows with fake arrows are allowed. All weapons and props are subject to security inspection.

ILLICIT SUBSTANCES

No alcohol, illegal drugs, or other controlled substances are permitted in the convention venue. OneAnime has a ZERO tolerance policy on illegal substances. Violations will result in loss of badge, expulsion, and possible legal action.

INAPPROPRIATE CONTENT

OneAnime Convention is a family-friendly event with children in attendance during daytime hours (10 AM - 7:30 PM Saturday, 11 AM - 9 PM Sunday). Attendees are strictly prohibited from bringing nudity, explicit images, or pornographic material into the convention venue at any time. Any content beyond a family-friendly rating requires advance approval from the University of Utah, so we cannot guarantee it will be permitted at the convention.

CELEBRITY AUTOGRAPH MATERIALS

No nudity or pornographic content of celebrities or their characters, regardless of how they appear in the original series. Fan art adding nudity to characters is prohibited. This includes adult content featuring the voice actor themselves. Ask staff if unsure.

ENFORCEMENT

Violation of any prohibited items policy may result in the immediate removal of prohibited materials, loss of badge, and expulsion from the convention without refund. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone who brings prohibited items to the convention.

VENDOR BLADED WEAPONS SALES

To protect our attendees and comply with venue and insurance requirements, vendors selling swords, knives, or similar items must follow these rules:

PERMITTED SALES

You may sell decorative or functional swords, knives, or blades as merchandise.

SEALED PACKAGING REQUIRED

All items must be bagged or boxed and sealed at the point of sale. Customers may not open them on the con floor.

IMMEDIATE REMOVAL

Buyers must take purchases directly to their hotel room, car, or off-site location. These items are not permitted for display, cosplay, or carry inside the convention center.

NO HANDLING IN BOOTH

Blades may not be unsheathed, swung, or demonstrated in vendor booths. All display items must remain secured.

PEACE-BONDING NOT APPLICABLE TO SALES

Peace-bonding is for cosplay props only, not purchased weapons. Purchased blades must leave the venue.

NON-COMPLIANCE

Vendors who violate this policy risk booth closure without refund and potential ban from future events.

Please follow all instructions regarding lining up, noise control, and property care. Be considerate of other hotel guests and convention attendees.

Camping in the convention area is not allowed.

BAG SIZE RESTRICTIONS

Small bags, purses, and tote bags are welcome for carrying personal items, purchases, medicine, water, and other essentials. We understand attendees need to carry their belongings and purchases throughout the convention.

LARGE BACKPACKS

Large backpacks are generally not permitted unless they are an integral part of your costume (e.g., Mandalorian jetpacks, trooper backpacks, or other character-specific gear). If your large bag is part of your cosplay, please be prepared to show that it's costume-related.

SECURITY CHECK

All bags are subject to security inspection upon entry to the convention center. This is for the safety of all attendees and staff. Please cooperate with security personnel during bag checks.

PROHIBITED ITEMS

No weapons, alcohol, illegal substances, or other prohibited items may be brought into the convention center, regardless of bag size. All OneAnime policies apply to bag contents.

ENFORCEMENT

Security staff reserves the right to deny entry to oversized bags or ask attendees to return large bags to their vehicles. Non-compliance may result in denial of entry to the convention.

Liability Policy

IN CONSIDERATION OF THE OPPORTUNITY TO PARTICIPATE IN THE EVENTS AND ACTIVITIES OF ONEANIME, I HEREBY WAIVE AND RELEASE, indemnify, hold harmless and forever discharge Utah Anime Promotions and OneAnime (collectively, "ONEANIME"), AND the UNIVERSITY OF UTAH UNION BUILDING, the UNIVERSITY OF UTAH, and their agents, employees, officers, directors, affiliates, successors, volunteers, contractors, managers, sponsors, funders, venues, attendees, and assigns ("RELEASED PARTIES") OF AND FROM ANY AND ALL CLAIMS, demands, debts, contracts, expenses, causes of action, lawsuits, attorneys' fees, costs of prosecution or defense, damages and liabilities of every kind and nature, whether known or unknown, in law or equity, that I ever had or may have, INCLUDING INJURY TO MY PERSON OR PROPERTY and acts or omissions by third parties, ARISING FROM or in any way related to MY PARTICIPATION IN any of the events or activities conducted by or on the premises of ONEANIME. This waiver of liability does not apply to any acts of gross negligence, or intentional, willful or wanton misconduct on the part of any released party.

Refund Policy

OneAnime will offer NO REFUNDS for any reason other than cancellation of the event on our part. If you wish to transfer your badge to someone else, it must be done at least 2 weeks before the event. We will need your information as well as the information of the person taking your place. After the 2‑week mark, transfers will not be accepted. Under certain circumstances, passes purchased prior to the event can be transferred to next year's convention, but you must contact us prior to the event.

1. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS

By accessing, using, or interacting with OneAnime Convention's website, mobile application, social media platforms, or any related services ("Services"), you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, you must not use our Services.

2. SERVICE AVAILABILITY

We strive to provide reliable and secure Services, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Our Services are provided on an "as available" basis, and we may need to perform maintenance or updates that temporarily affect availability.

3. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the maximum extent permitted by Utah law, OneAnime shall not be liable for any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of our Services. This includes but is not limited to direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.

4. USER CONDUCT AND RESPONSIBILITY

You are responsible for your use of our Services and any content you submit. You agree to use our Services in compliance with applicable laws and to respect the rights of others. Prohibited activities include:

• Violating any applicable laws or regulations
• Infringing upon intellectual property rights
• Transmitting harmful, offensive, or inappropriate content
• Attempting to gain unauthorized access to our systems
• Interfering with the proper functioning of our Services

5. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

All content, trademarks, service marks, and intellectual property associated with OneAnime are owned by OneAnime or its licensors. You may use our Services for personal, non-commercial purposes. Reproduction, distribution, or creation of derivative works requires express written permission.

6. COPYRIGHT AND INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

We are not responsible for content posted by users, attendees, or third parties at our events or on our platforms.

7. MOBILE APPLICATIONS

Our mobile applications may require access to device features such as camera, location, notifications, and storage. You may control these permissions through your device settings. Some features may not function properly if permissions are denied. Our apps comply with applicable app store policies and guidelines.

8. SOCIAL MEDIA INTEGRATION

Our Services may integrate with social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, X (formerly known as Twitter), TikTok, YouTube, and BlueSky. When you connect your social media accounts, you authorize us to access certain information from these platforms. Each platform has its own terms and privacy policies that govern your use of their services.

9. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

Our Services may integrate with third-party platforms and services, including social media platforms, event management tools, and advertising services used to promote and manage our events. These third parties have their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of these third-party services.

10. DATA BREACH NOTIFICATION

In the event of a data breach that affects your personal information, we will notify you and relevant authorities as required by applicable law. We will take reasonable steps to mitigate any potential harm and prevent future breaches.

11. FORCE MAJEURE

OneAnime shall not be liable for any failure to perform due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, natural disasters, war, terrorism, riots, fire, labor disputes, government actions, or technical failures.

12. DISPUTE RESOLUTION

Any disputes arising from these Terms and Conditions shall be resolved through binding arbitration in Davis County, Utah, in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association.

14. MODIFICATIONS AND TERMINATION

We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes when possible. Continued use of our Services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

15. GOVERNING LAW AND JURISDICTION

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Utah, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of Davis County, Utah.

16. SEVERABILITY

If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect to the maximum extent permitted by law.

17. ENTIRE AGREEMENT

These Terms and Conditions constitute the entire agreement between you and OneAnime regarding the use of our Services and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
