Photography & Filming

What you can shoot, where, and how. Be kind, get consent, and don't block the doorways.

// The Basics

General Photography

Allowed

Photography is welcome throughout the convention in all public areas (hallways, vendor hall, lobby, etc.), provided it does not block walkways, disrupt traffic, or impede other attendees.

Consent Required

Always obtain verbal consent before taking close-up photos of attendees, cosplayers, or vendors.

Pro Equipment

DSLR or mirrorless cameras are allowed. Light stands, backdrops, and props must not obstruct hallways or exits.

Tripods

Allowed only if set up safely and without blocking pedestrian flow. Staff may ask photographers to move at any time.

Cosplay Contest Photography

Seating

There will be a designated media area near the front for approved photographers.

Access

Space is limited and first come, first served.

Flash / Lighting

Flash and high-powered lights are not permitted during the contest to avoid distracting contestants or judges.

Permission

Photography and filming are allowed unless the emcee announces otherwise.

Filming & Content Creation

General Filming

Allowed in public convention areas, artist alley, vendor hall, and hallways with consent of participants.

Panels & Events

  • Filming or recording of panels, workshops, and contests is not permitted unless you have written approval from OneAnime staff or the panelists involved.
  • No live streaming without prior approval.

Family-Friendly Content

Any recorded material shared publicly must remain PG-rated and respectful of attendees and guests.

Media & Creator Badges

No separate media badge is required.

Registered attendees and approved guests may film and photograph within the above guidelines.

Professional photographers interested in contest or event access can request a complimentary Media Designation by emailing [email protected]. Include your name, business name or channel, equipment list, and intended use.
